Fire Alarm & Fire Safety Systems
Fire Alarm Systems can be as simple as installing a battery operated detector that sounds locally. However most of the time this does not satisfy the local and national fire codes. Typically detectors now need to be either hard wired with 110 volts or low voltage hardwired to a centrally located control panel. At T&R we have NICET certified personnel and have been trusted to install systems in various places such as Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Colleges, Schools, High Rise Buildings, Chemical Plants, and a wide variety of others. Fire Alarms typically consist of smoke detectors, heat detectors, linear heat cable, smoke beams, horn strobes, flow switches, ansul connections, Sprinkler monitoring, tamper switches, temperature sensors, digital dialers, and manual pull stations. The larger the building the more codes you need to comply with. For example if you are in a high rise building chances are you need a voice evacuation system. In many instances sounders can only sound on the floor that has the alarm, the floor above and the floor below, leaving the rest of the floors to wait for instructions from the fire department. There are many, many codes to comply with and standards to meet.
